Principles only matter when they cost you something. These have cost us contracts, and we kept them anyway.

Every hour billed is an engineer who has shipped production software for a decade or more. We don’t farm out. We don’t hide juniors behind titles.
Fixed scope, fixed price.
Open-ended retainers reward the wrong behavior. Our engagements are scoped sprints with clear exit criteria. If we misjudged, we wear the cost.
Compliance is a first draft.
NIST, FedRAMP, SOC 2 and WCAG are where a good system starts. Passing them is the minimum. We design past the checklist.
The code is the deliverable.
Decks, diagrams, and reports are tools. The artifact that outlives the engagement is the running system. It is what we optimize for.
